Happiness is Going Meat Shopping

Every Thursday, we go meat shopping.

We drive from SW Portland, across some bridge to get to North Burnside and Laurelhurst Market where we buy our steaks and bacon.  Then we drive down to Tails and Trotters to see what they have to offer.  This past Thu we bought an Arista roast, a medium ham, and a copa.  Woohoo!  The down side is that Bob has had to roast 3 rather large pieces of pork which take anywhere from 4-6 hours of slow roasting.  However, being always on the eating end, the effort is really worthwhile.

The Arista roast was the most elegant.  The ham was festive.  The copa is delicious with the lovely chili colorado sauce that Tails and Trotters gave us!
