Oh, so sad. Definitive conclusion reached last evening. Used to be able to eat cooked peaches as in preserves and jams for a very long time. Recently I started having problems with the preserves and jams. Thought it might be the citric acid, especially the varieties that are made from CORN or WHEAT so discontinued eating them.
Aha! moment. The peaches smelled so good at the grocery store so I decided to make my own peach preserves with lemon juice and sugar. Spent a couple of hours yesterday making the preserves and had it last evening. Oh, so sad. It wasn't the citric acid after all. It is the peaches I am allergic to.
