Plain Drinking Chocolate from Alma

Our recipe for plain drinking chocolate for two (revised 6 Jul 2014)

Assemble your utensils -- if you own an espresso machine you'll not need the following utensils to create the creamy, delicious chocolate drink.

We use the KitchenAid immersion blender and the blender cup because we don't own an espresso machine.

Boil enough water to heat your chocolate cups and to make the drinking chocolate mix

Add boiling water to chocolate cups to heat them.

Plain Drinking Chocolate (just like the espresso chocolate drink at Alma)

8 oz plain drinking chocolate from Alma

1 cup boiling water

Place plain drinking chocolate from Alma into the KitchenAid blending container

Add 1 cup boiling water to drinking chocolate

Allow to sit for a minute or two to allow the chocolate to start melting

Blend with immersion blender for about 3 minutes aerate as much as possible (if you own an espresso machine use the steamer for a few seconds)

Drink will be very creamy!

Discard hot water from chocolate cups.  Pour the chocolate drink into the hot cups and enjoy!
