We took a short trip to Seattle to see the Tutankhamun Exhibit at the Pacific Science Center. What a wonderful time we had eating at restaurants that served dishes we could eat!
On the way up we ate late lunch at Stanley & Seaforts in Tacoma. They have a gluten free menu and will work with you to ensure that your meal does not contain any surprises!
For dinner that evening we ate at the Daily Grill in the Sheraton. They also have a gluten free menu and will work with you to ensure that you get the best meal.
We ate our breakfasts at the Andaluca. We eat the same breakfast we have everyday minus the bananas and papayas. What a wonderful way to start the day.
Went to the Tutankhamun Exhibit and afterwards bought gifts for our friends. What fun to buy gifts again!
Lunch was at Chandler's Crabhouse. They don't have a gluten free menu, but their staff are all trained to work with you to produce a most wonderful gluten free menu. I had a whole Dungeness crab and the kitchen made some roasted golden yukon gold potatoes that tasted so good to accompany the crab. Even Bob ate them without side effects!
For dinner we went to Daniel's Broiler at Lake Union. Oh, simply marvelous well done NY Steak that melted in your mouth with plain baked potatoes. Again no gluten free menu, but the staff was trained to work with the customer to produce a suitable meal. We also had the same waitress, Michelle from Chandler's!
We visited the Weyerhaeuser Pacific Rim Bonsai Collection in Federal Way in the morning. The collection is superb.
We had lunch at Stanley & Seaforts again and it was as good as the first time. This time we arrived at lunch time, but the staff produced a meal that contained only what we ordered and nothing else to cause issues!
The entire trip was memorable in that as soon as we entered Seattle my allergies all seem to disappear. No more sore gums, sneezing, congestion, or teeth aches! Spent 3 days eating and having fun.
