Slow Roasted Large NY Steak

Slow Roasted Large NY Steaks (well done)

2  1 1/4 # or so NY Steaks, fat not removed
salt
El Gaucho Seasoning

Preheat oven to 250º F.
Prepare the baking sheet using aluminum foil (see picture of how I do it).
Season steaks to taste.
Stand the steaks up with fat side up.  Make sure to season the fat.
Roast for 3 hours.  Test with instant meat thermometer.  The internal temperature will not be up to the well done state.

Heat oven to 300º F.
Continue roasting steaks for 20-30 minutes depending on how large the steaks are.
Test with instant meat thermometer.  Should be in the 165º range.
Take out and let set for about 10 minutes.

Also very good the day after.  Slice steak thinly and fry to brown.  Yummy served with barbecue sauce of choice and rice!
